Givin' Up Food for Funk - DTB's Anniversary Dance Party & Food Donation Drive

We’re entering the season of giving and gratitude!
November is going to very special to Darker Than Blue. It marks our one-year anniversary of existence. In celebration of that, we’re doing something we’ve never done before. We’re having a funky dance party + donation drive for a local food bank. We want folks to bring a canned food item as their entry fee to our event on Saturday November 16, 8:00pm-01:00am indoors at Gallery Art Bar (located at 119 W Main St. in Urbana, IL). It’s also Darker Than Blue’s last event of 2024. We’re calling it Givin’Up Food for Funk in homage to The JB’s “Givin’ Up Food for Funk”.
The Darker Than Blue crew will be in full funky effect, playing funky music, while you dance. We have our own interpretations of funk music so it’s going to be fun to hear and feel the groovy sensations.
Bring your canned food and a funky attitude! If that’s not feasible, then donate funds to Cunningham Township.
Another reason to celebrate…we have new DTB t-shirts for sale: one shirt for $15 or two shirts for $25.
As always, join us for a great time and support the bar with drinks, snacks, and tips. Make the dance floor your destination!
